To sign up for a class, send an email and reserve your spot. Class size is limited and they do fill up.

THE CORE CLASS 2026

  • The basic price is $50 per class. (Nobody will be turned away for lack of funds. Just let us know.)
  • Classes run from 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM.
  • Most classes meet in the field. The location will be verified by email just prior to class.

CORE CLASS DATES 2026

Classes meet on Thursdays and Saturdays just before the Marin Tracking Club, which meets on the last Sunday of the month.

Spring

  • March 26 (Thursday) & March 28 (Saturday)
  • April 23 (Thursday) & April 25 (Saturday)
  • May 28 (Thursday) & May 30 (Saturday)

Summer

  • June 25 (Thursday) & June 27 (Saturday)
  • July 23 (Thursday) & July 25 (Saturday)
  • August 27 (Thursday) & August 29 (Saturday)

Fall

  • September 24 (Thursday) & September 26 (Saturday)
  • October 29 (Thursday) & October 31 (Saturday)
  • November 26 (Thursday) & November 28 (Saturday)

Winter 2026-2027

  • December 24 (Thursday) & December 26 (Saturday)
  • January 28 (Thursday) & January 30 (Saturday)
Each class can stand alone. Classes emphasize a specific, season-related aspect of tracking, and since the course is cyclical, like the seasons, it can be started at any point.

Though students are welcome to attend single classes, we encourage you to register for the whole Core Course to get a complete grounding in the world of animal tracking.
