To sign up for a class, send an email and reserve your spot. Class size is limited and they do fill up.

THE CORE CLASS, 2025

This is a yearlong course with one class per month.
  • The basic price is $80 per class. (Nobody will be turned away for lack of funds. Just let us know.)
  • Or pay $850 in advance for a full year. The full-year price includes free access to all PRTS workshops during that year.
  • Classes run from 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM.
  • Most classes meet in the field. The location will be verified by email just prior to class.

CORE CLASS DATES

Classes meet on Fridays and Saturdays just before the Marin Tracking Club, which meets on the last Sunday of the month. Saturday classes will be held if the Friday class fills up.

Winter 2024-2025

Spring 2025

  • March 28 (Friday) & March 29 (Saturday)

  • June 27 (Friday) & June 28 (Saturday)
  • July 25 (Friday) & July 26 (Saturday)

Fall 2025

  • September 26 (Friday) & September 27 (Saturday)
  • October 24 (Friday) & October 25 (Saturday)
  • November 28 (Friday) & November 29 (Saturday)

Winter 2025-2026

  • December 26 (Friday) & December 27 (Saturday)
  • January 24 (Friday) & January 25 (Saturday)
  • February 21 (Friday) & February 22 (Saturday)
Each class can stand alone. Classes emphasize a specific, season-related, aspect of tracking, and since the course is cyclical, like the seasons, it can be started at any point.

Though students are welcome to attend single classes, we encourage you to register for the whole Core Course, to get a complete grounding in the world of animal tracking.
